Ditta Artigianale Delivers a Near-Flawless Specialty Coffee Experience
Tucked into the heart of Florence, Ditta Artigianale carries the weight of its name β "artisan firm" β with genuine conviction. Francesco Sanapo's flagship cafΓ© blends the warmth of Italian coffee culture with a rigorous specialty ethos, and from the moment you step inside, the open roastery, exposed brick, and the intoxicating aroma of freshly roasted beans make the intention unmistakably clear. This is a place that takes coffee seriously without taking itself too seriously.
Items Purchased
Flat White β Built on Ditta Artigianale's own specialty-roasted beans, this was a masterclass in balance: silky, well-integrated microfoam over a shot with a medium-light roast character, delivering notes of dark chocolate, dried cherry, and a clean, lingering sweetness. The espresso-to-milk ratio was precise β nothing muddied, nothing lost.
Salted Caramel Latte (Iced) β Indulgent without tipping into cloying territory. The salt cut through the sweetness with real intention, and the cold brew base held its own with enough body and mild acidity to remind you there's serious coffee underneath the flavoring.
Cinnamon Roll β Soft, pillowy, and warmly spiced with a tender crumb and just enough glaze to complement rather than overwhelm. A worthy companion to either drink.
Award-Winning Beans (Retail Purchase) β Ditta Artigianale has earned recognition on the Italian specialty coffee circuit, and the retail bag reflects that pedigree β expect bright, fruit-forward acidity and exceptional traceability.
An exceptional cafΓ© where craft roasting, skilled baristas, and thoughtful sourcing converge into one of the most memorable coffee experiences you can have in Italy.
